I rode with rainman1ne with his D&D installed a couple weeks ago and its LOUD!!! Too damn loud for me. I can only imagine what its like sitting on the thing! We where hitting some good corners and I don't recall him saying the exhaust hit, but it wasnt the race track..... -Robert www.xblights.com |

That pipe sticks out farther then the pegs do. I can touch down the pegs at the track, so I would bet in a race it would easliy touch down but for the street should be fine. Enjoy! |

The D&D is hideously loud people turn to look hundreds of yards away to see whats coming. i made a second baffle to fit inside the original just a piece of exhaust pipe lots of hacksaw cuts and hammer dints with a concaved plate at either end and tack weld inside original do this before you get the pipe too hot as the baffle packing is secured around the baffle with packing tape and will be hard to remove after a short time. Everyone around here loves the sound of the bike with the D&D. It is VERY loud, so it may surpass the noise limitations, BUT it's better to be heard than felt. I like the exhaust - gives it a mean sound. Yeah, it may be loud, but my 4 Harleys are loud too! Only problem, I lost a couple of HP's on the Dyno, and 1 ft-lb of torque. I'm thinking of putting in torque cones if I can find them! |

Did fitting this pipe help smooth out the lower rev range or the stalling thing? Just wondering if the standard pipe is strangling the motor. |
