I have been carrying only my Ulysses on my insurance policy. $415/yr for just the Buell. Yesterday I bought a scooter for a pit bike and commuting to work. I added it to my policy and also went ahead and added my gixxer. I put only liability on the Gixxer and scooter. My rate DROPPED. They gave me a "multi-bike discount" and I pay less for 3 bikes than I did for one. Go figure?!? |

It's probably a mistake. Call them up and see if they can fix it. I had a multi bike policy until I sold my VTR 1000 and the rate dropped by about 1/3 when I took it off my policy. |

You're not supposed to understand the policy rates. Just pay it and be happy. I pay a little over $500 a year with State Farm. That's with $1k deductible, max liability, min medical and a mileage limit of 7500 miles per year. |

I added my 2001 DRZ400E (baja kit street legal) to my liability policy for just $4.75/year through Geico. I was shocked. My liability with them is something like $134/year for minimum coverage |

Well...It was too good to be true. I got a call from the insurance company telling me they had made a mistake in my quote. My rate jumped up a whopping $35 a year to add the two bikes. |
