I'm sure that if you politely ask your local service advisor...and be willing to pay for ink and paper... They should print this information out for you off their BUELL/HD service website. Then, you can post it here so we all don't have to do the same while we patiently await the service manual release...and try to get along as best as possible. ...or post to another's innocent question that "no one really knows for sure" Best of luck and let us all know what you find out. |

With one exception. Run it five minutes. shut it off. walk around the bike clockwise, then sit on holding it upright for 3.5 minutes then walk around it once counter clock wise. Then you may adjust the bearings. |

Just like the XB. With wheel off the ground turn the wheel to full right lock. Get a spring scale (fish scale) place it in the axle and pull to center. It should be 1 to 7 lbs. if adjustment is needed, take out the top pinch bolt, loosen the steering cap nut a few turns, loosen the lower triple tree pinch bolts. Torque the stem cap nut to 38-42 ft lbs (52-7Nm). Try the pull again. If it is still not in range bearings need to be replaced. Torque all the pinch bolts to 20-22ft lbs (27-30Nm).Also with the wheel in the air grab the forks and push and pull to see if there is any movement in the steering head. |
