How many "rings" are showing on top of fork tubes when bike leaves factory?? I've got 2003 XB9 forks, and I'm willing to check for you if you clarify it. My legs have a snap-ring looking thing in a groove near the top, and it is designed to be raised in the upper triple until it contacts a shelf inside there.
