I can get it to move about 1/8" but not enough to move it up. Any suggestions? |

I had the same issue. WD-40 and a BFH resolved the matter. |

Just unbolt it and see what is jamming you up. Pull the fender off, there are two bolts that hold the whole thing on and it literally falls apart. |

take it all apart and lube it with some oil. mine kept jamming until i replaced the pin/plastic assembaly. bfh should take care of it in the meantime. one other thing, make sure the triple tail isn't just stuck onto the seat (depending on which year seat you have)sometimes it's stuck and won't slide across the seat until you unstick it. |

How long before I can expect to have to replace the plastic locking collar? It seems very flimsy and the one on my XT looks and feels like it's about to break off. Or should I even bother replacing it? |
