Hey Frank, why don't you ask Bill or Janey where they would suggest someone stay who wants a room and doesn't want to camp or hut?...I'm certain they have this problem quite often as it is not a very big place...Also I've had very good luck (as in every time) trying at the last minute and being able to get a room due to a cancelation...Seems us motorcyclists are not the most reliable at being able to get away...Imagine that!!!... By the way...When you're there see if you can find the evidence that John and I were also there... See Ya! Bob |

Frankster... Since you were too "busy" to show at the other place... I am having to resort to this open forum to ask you a question. I am hoping that an inventory of CHD does not result from this question. Where did you get your bike lift??? How much did it cost??? and is it hydraulic or air lift?? I am looking for an air lift... unless you know a reason to not get an air lift model. |

Well guys it's down to the wire! Tonight I leave for Las Vegas! I will come back happily married! (yes happily) Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the club meeting next wed night. Please let me know what comes out of it! Sorry I didn't make it last night also. I was busy having a small difference of opinion with the Tuxedo rental personel. I did intend to make it but I just ran out of time. Basicly I won't be able to talk with you guys until the Bike Night at the other place before we go to arkansas. Please keep me informed of anything that transponds about the trip! You can email me @ the address in my profile. Right now I am still going for sure. I will be camping when we get there. Frank hopefully will still have room in his truck for my tent..? I will be back on the weekend of 13th & 14th so maybe a lunch ride will be an option? Anyway have a good week and a good meeting next week. I will catch up with you all when I get back! P.S. anyone know if Las Vegas Harley Davidson/Buell rents Buells?!?! I know they do harley's... |

Here is another event that is coming up at the Kansas Speedway... This is actually the events where 2 years ago I met Bill & Richie riding with some Ducati's. http://www.marchofdimeskc.org/biker/ Bikers for Babies link , if your going it would be wise to pre-register. Check it out....

Dennis the menace, The place is http://www.handyindustries.com/ and they have all kinds of other stuff. The lift is awesome, and I would highly recommend it. It's alot of change to drop on it, but in my case its already paid for itself a couple of times. If you're going to get one MAKE SURE you get the "cycle vise" accessory. I don't understand why they just don't include it with the lift but you have to have it...I wanna say its around $850 by the time all is said and done.... Richie, I just reserved 5 at random. There should be enough for everyone. There's plenty of camping area as well Racerboy, Are you fellas gonna grace us with your presence? hehe "> Lowlife, I'm not sure if there's a dancefloor big enough for me in Arkansas "> edited by cyclone1 on September 06, 2003 |

Well Mobbers I got to ride the XB12R and a VRod at the Harley Open House yesterday. They actually took us on a pretty good route. The XB was very stable for having such a small wheelbase. Power delivery on the XB was strong, but there wasn't a night and day difference from any Buell I've ridden. The only downside was the riding position which is pretty extreme. My S2 felt like a Goldwing after riding the 12R. As I thought, the 12R would be a fun back roads bike, but with the riding position, don't plan on being on the bike too long. I guess I'm turning into an old man. The VRod was nice as well, but wasn't like any Harley I've ever ridden. To begin, you tend to shift much later on the VRod which redlined at 9,000 RPM. The VRod was also very smooth and had very little vibration. Lastly, with the stock exhaust, the VRod sounded more like a Honda then a Harley. Neill |

Man, you must be getting old, I'm 40 and I ride my XB9R on 2-400 miles per day rides all the time. It isn't as comfy as my FLHT but it sure wheelies better. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) |

Children... Children... children... I bought my XB9S just before my 49th Birthday. I typically run out of riding time or gas money before I am ready to quit for the day. I also have a BMW R1100RA... and the XB is more comfortable to ride than the XB... especially after switching to the optional Street-fighter seat. I do not purposely do wheelies... though I often feel the front wheel bump down as I pull in the clutch to shift. "It's all fun and games until someone breaks a hip!!!" :-) |

Actually... I meant to write... the XB is more comfortable than my BMW. Do you start making errors when writing when you begin to get senile??? |

S2SCOTT AND MIKE; The main reason to pre-register,(this wednesday night at the other place 9-10-03), is becouse you do not want to wait in those three mile lines at the track. You can ride straight to the pits on the north main gate. It is a suggestion that you find your group you wish to ride with before going in though, becouse once inside its a real madhouse and a bitch to find a place to park when you are trying to find a friend. I am going! This is a ride I like very much. The steak and fixins afterwords is pretty cool, and last year they had a obsticle course for you show offs (SAM). see ya bike night and well plan a place to meet that morning of the ride!! Hey Shazam!!! Did you ever get the video tape from this springs B-trax at Waterloo? Me either. Sure could use the money for an oil change... I hope the guy is all right. I'll just have to remember not to give money to strangers. Ryan |
