Author Message   Prs Posted on Monday, September 08, 2003 - 09:32 am:        I had to chuckle this weekend when I went to the local HD/Buell dealer for their first Saturday-of-the-month picnic. I park my black M2 (only Buell in the lot). There are about 50 HDs of all colors and styles. I'm eating my hot dog when I spot a lad of about 11 or 12 yrs of age, still in his baseball uniform. He's strolling past all these beautiful bikes as if he doesn't even notice them when all of a sudden his head does a double-take and he stops to check one out. That's right, he's checking out the M2. A little later, a grown man walked the same path and stopped to check out the M2. She is my baby and her lines and no-frills black makes her stand out among all those bright, chromed-up clones of each other. She's just a tough looking ride. I CAN prove it - got me from Newfoundland to East Troy, Wisconsin in 3.5 days, thats roughly 2700mi. Only one minor hick-up I had was a blown out isolator going through Michigan. But due to the Best Damm Buell Support Network (I can't thank OZ666 and Cjmblast Enough for helping me on that one - hopefully some day I may be able to repay somehow) in the world I was back up and running after about 5 hours. I can't forget to thank Spidey for the license plate support bracked he fabricated while we sipped on Screech. Other than that minor problem the S1 performed flawless.
