Second place, and the 1125R was only .034 seconds behind the 1098R! Wow! Gotta love that result! That comes out to about $180,000 per second extra cost for the Ducati... ;) |

Go Bruno and Michel! Thanks Jens. Hang tough amigo. If there's anything I or BadWeB can do to help, let us know. I'm with you Bill. First time out and already matching laps with a 1098R? Incredible! |

Just a quick "copy and paste" of my post on the 1125 board.. "Been a while since I've checked in. Hi everyone ! Nobody bothered to ask me if I was interested in helping to run Buell's in the French championship again this year, so I went with the Ducati crowd who wanted me. The 1125's of Bruno and Michel are totally stock, and lose out down the straights, but not that much. I'm just back from Nogaro, bright sunshine, beautiful weather, fast back straight, and the Buells finished 4th and 5th in both races, Bruno ahead of Michel. The podiums were 1098R's and a very fast young rider on a 999R, but both Buell's were in the thick of it until the straights gave the advantage to the more powerful Ducati's mid race. Still, once the race exhausts and chain conversion kits arrive, as well as more track orientated suspension, I think it will be a good scrap. There are 6 riders with a couple of outsiders who are in line for the title, so it will be a good season. Oh, as for reliability, so far not a single problem, and only praise for the machine. It looks great in race-trim, too. Just VERY quiet..." Here's the Top Twin site, this is a slicker and slightly better organised version of the Pro-Twin, which is also being run in France, only with one Buell, an XBR 1200, racing in it, although as the 1125's start to turn up in the showrooms, this may change. http://www.top-twin.com/index.php |
