Nimbly riding along ogling over how my new ride rocks and I got stuck behind a friggin 1/2 hour funeral procession (honest I mean no disrespect). I cut across the traffic and found myself passing the hearse on the outside. As I was passing it I thought to myself, self, "This is gonna bring bad karma." Next thing I see are the cherries. No kidding. I guess my sudden epiphany took me from 50 to 70 in a 50 zone. Took the trooper forever it seemed to get out of his car. I thought to myself, self, "You're toast." He walked around my new baby and checked her out thick. Thought he was gonna ask her out on a date. Guy is old enough to be my dad. "Nice ride he says." I thanked him politely and pulled off my helmet. I thought he was gonna flip. I gather he doesn't see many girls riding sportbikes of this caliber. I of course played cool, flashed the baby blues (well I had to look at him anyway) and he let me off with a warning. I had to face the squad car as he was running my numbers. He might not have been so generous if he'd read the back of my shirt. "This bitch doesn't fall off" Kudos nonetheless to our boys in blue for tryin to protect us from accidents. |

Great story....So I wonder what the ratio is of 1125r owners who have gotten pulled over vs ones who have not.... I got pulled over and let off at 600 mi. doing 65 in a 40. Was doing triple digits about 1/2 mile before he got me cresting the hill. Damn these things are hard to do the speed limit on. |

+1 Fresno! The following is kinda long but it has been confirmed. Portland will launch a 21 day speeding Frenzy! The state of Oregon estimates there will be 9 million made in speeding tickets. 1 million dollars will go to paying troopers overtime. There will be 40 OSP troopers and local police officers on duty at all times patrolling these areas. I-5 North and south from Woodburn to Delta park I 84 Eastbound and Westbound from downtown to I205 I 205 Northbound from I5 to Hwy 84* *this is where they anticipate highest volume of tickets. Us 26 WB and EB Sunset Hwy from the tunnel to Cornell Hwy 217 from Washington Square to I5 Hwy 18 from Hwy99 to Grand Rhone 5mph or over can justify a ticket and state troopers are instructed to pull over anyone going 5mph over the limit. OSP has issued 15 new unmarked Crown Victoria cruisers for this 21 day period. This new ticket revenue will help close the budget crisis they are facing. This'ticket frenzy' has been confirmed by news stations in Portland. If they were really interested in any kind of safety or service, there are plenty of meth labs they know about and could be blowing up instead. JJ |

Funny, here's an e-mail I received about a "PA Frenzy"...Got me thinking now that it's a load of crap: Starting today, Pennsylvania will launch a 30 day speeding ticket frenzy. The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be generated in speeding tickets. 1 million will go to pay state troopers' overtime. There will be 50 state troopers on duty at all times patrolling the 9 main intersections and highways. They are the following: Rte. 1 north and south PA-220 I-99 north and south I-95 north and south I-279 north and south I-276 east and west I-376 east and west I-76 east and west I-80 east and west I-79 north and south I-70 east and west PA-60 PA-66 US-22 & 322 5 mph above the limit can justify a ticket and every state trooper is supposed to pull a car over and write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes. They have issued 30 brand new unmarked Dodge Charger Police cruisers and are bringing in all of their part timers on full time. If you work in western Pennsylvania , you will probably take one of these highways. It's up to you how fast you are going when they clock you. KDKA and WDVE & CBS3 confirmed all of this. So be safe and don't forget speeding tickets are on you. Driving Ticket fine increase in PA: Starting on August 15th, the price of a ticket for violation of PA Law 39:-29 (failure to show your driver's license, registration, or insurance card at the time you are stopped ) is going from $44.00 to $173.00 Please make sure your vehicles have the proper documents in them. |

this just in; NickCaro will be unleashing a "Speeding Frenzy" during the month of May. Starting today, NickCaro will launch a 30 day speeding frenzy. NickCaro estimates that 900 dollars will be invested in fuel alone to maintain the frenzy levels. MPG could drop to an all time low of 11 KDKA and WDVE & CBS3 confirmed all of this. So be safe and when you see a ball of light coming up on your rear view mirror, don't panic. It's not a Scud Missile, just get out of the way. |

Andy - in California, it might work as a male rider flashing those "baby blues" on the male officers. (I'll take my ticket rather than chancing it though) |

Steve(Slaughter), you crack me up. This must be the Kalifornia style of "trolling" I've heard of. Especially around the SanFrancisco area. Makes me want to be careful how I pull my license out of my leathers. LOL Bob |

...I'll wear a halloween mask and yell "Boobies!" and blow kisses...then accept 2 tickets, one for my original violation, the other for sexual harassment with the "mandatory court appearance" box checked. |

The first 1700 miles on Loretta were with an expired 2007 tag from my old Firebolt on the back, no trouble. Legal, paper tag was in the "trunk". Ten minutes after dealing with the DMV and reactivating the tag for this bike, I get a ticket, for "riding like a squid". I ride like a grandma, so it must be a BITCH for y'all.
