Is there any trick to taking the rear tire off? I have the bike
supported with the tire off the ground. I'm turning the rear axle to loosen it and I feel lots of tension from the belt
pulling on the pulley. The belt is real tight. Once you loosen the axle completely will it be hard to get the axle and tire back in place and put the belt back on after a new tire is
installed? Any good advice out there? Thank you.

I had to remove the idler pulley on my bike. This gives the belt lots of slack but getting the pulley back on is hard. Be very careful.

Don't forget to unbolt the brake caliper.

I have not done my 1125r yet but on my XB9R and XB12X I would have the bike supported with a swing arm stand. I would put a 2x4 under the rear tire.
Remove axle
slide belt off rear sprocket with out bending the belt.
I did not remove my pulley
very easy to get axle back in and tighten belt.
Use anti seeze on axle.

changed mine three times so far by just removing the axle and disconnecting the brake caliper. no problems with belt or idler.

there is a pinch bolt on the left side that holds tension on the axle to keep it from backing out. loosen it from the bottom front.

Thanks Guys for the help. I found by losing the pinch bolt
for the axle and then backing the axle out, the tapers in the axle allow the tension from the belt to slack off and
make pulling the tire a cinch. Once I got the caliper out of the way it came out easily. There was no need to remove
the idler pulley. Some anti-seize on the threads and a little
silicon grease on the tapers and the outside part of the axle
where your special double nut tool goes and she slid back in real nice. I'm trying an Avon AV56 Storm ST tire. I'll let you know how many miles I get. Only got 2300
miles on the stock Corsa III.

I like the storm on my M2, over 4,000 miles of twisties on them, I have my second set now.

I really like the scorpion syncs on my 1125, I may try the Avon if I get much less than 4,000 from the scorps.
