Another prof at the UofW was CONVINCED that cultural basis for lipstick was based in tribal africa and it "signalled" womens unconscious desire, and/or overt advertisement(depending on shade) of her willingness to perform fellallalacioa and breed new chillins. As the class was already at 700 in the am, it should be no surprise that the girls in the class refused to wear any make up the rest of the quarter. Academics.... I should have spent those four years traveling instead.
So let me guess this silly snatch also spells the word woman, as "Womyn"
Could possibly have that word have anything to do with "woMAN"
Hey but what do I know, I recently had a t-shirt given to me that simply says "Stupid Pelt" on it with an arrow pointing away.. I love the looks I get...
it really takes someone who had been somewhere else in the world to really appreiciate what you have in the united states. been to italy, kenya, djibouti, karachi/pakistan, bahrain, seychelles along with a few other places and i am most grateful for what opportunities i have. i don't want it to seem like if you haven't been anywhere else that you don't but you really get a different insight as to what really goes on in the world if you see it first hand. she obviously has never been anywhere else in her life.
I was recently in a class where the professor, a woman
That sez it all right there. I actually quit college after less than one semester right after high school cuz i couldn't stand all the liberal wacko nut jobs running their suck in front of a bunch of kids.
There is something that you will see at the end of a patients bed on the clipboard here in Oz.
F I T H
stands for In The Head
The tiny brained among us who fathom out the worlds problems in little cubicles in isolation from the real world and then descend like avenging angels upon us to spew forth their rantings of pure shit are becoming more noticeable these days.
Time to smack em in the mouth to shut their shit up.
Now we got FITH to go with HTFU and Douche Canoe! I'm lovin' BadWeB more every day!
I gotta call MY WIFE to let her in on this!
I had some profit-sers in college who were complete A-holes whom in their divine way made it worth coming to class each day in order for me to mentally spar with them. It was fun and easy because even I was nearly on par with them mentally!
I think my response would have been "Wow, so you've managed to suck the romance and emotion completely out of your marriage, sorry, legally binding matrimonial agreement, huh?"
Luckily, I avoided a lot of the this kind of teaching. I only had one class where I had a liberal, female teacher that I can think of, and she was completely open to debate. Her points were generally well grounded, we just had differing opinions on them.
Of course, I went to a polytechnic institute (read: 80% male), for business, so no matter what political alignment a professer had (plenty on both sides), they were always pro-capitalist and pro-advancement.
Also, to some of your points, the VAST majority of professors did have real-world experience, and many were still working in the real world while teaching, wheather it be research or contracted work.
Good stuff. I liked my education. It's a shame that some are turned away from it because of political climates.
There are monkeys that when they come into estress (heat) their facial and rump become bright red, signaling their receptivness to mating. Go into any supermarket or drugstore and they will have an entire isle dedicated to various colors of facial paint for woman, lipstick, rouge, eyeliner, fragrances etc. Mother nature is not kind to the aging of woman, or men to a lesser degree, so it all apears to me to be advertisment of availability. Have you seen some of the top female stars without makeup, ............some are downright fearfull looking.
Largely these people are like any other people raised in extremely small communities.
In the remote areas with a limited gene pool, inbreeding can produce idiots at an alarming rate.
In our educational system, we are seeing the same thing - only this is a small intellectual gene pool - primary education is run by public servants, secondary education is the same, college is a group of people who have been "raised" by public servants who pretend to be "exchanging" ideas amongst themselves... and it is inevitable that in this small intellectual gene pool, we're breeding IDIOTS at an alarming rate.
People of Lesbos take gay group to court over term 'Lesbian'
By NICHOLAS PAPHITIS Associated Press Writer
ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- A Greek court has been asked to draw the line between the natives of the Aegean Sea island of Lesbos and the world's gay women.
Three islanders from Lesbos - home of the ancient poet Sappho, who praised love between women - have taken a gay rights group to court for using the word lesbian in its name.
One of the plaintiffs said Wednesday that the name of the association, Homosexual and Lesbian Community of Greece, "insults the identity" of the people of Lesbos, who are also known as Lesbians.
"My sister can't say she is a Lesbian," said Dimitris Lambrou. "Our geographical designation has been usurped by certain ladies who have no connection whatsoever with Lesbos," he said.
The three plaintiffs are seeking to have the group barred from using "lesbian" in its name and filed a lawsuit on April 10. The other two plaintiffs are women.
Huh. I always though "splittail" was a good term for female professors of this persuasion. I am working on a 2nd masters degree, so I feel qualified to have an opinion, having suffered through a few of them over the past ten years.
Fear not, my brethren. There are a few of us intellectuals that still speak common sense just fine despite the brain washing attempts (I just wear my tinfoil hat to class so their brainwave machine won't mess with my head). Heh heh.
After reading through this thread, it occurs to me that I use the terms "husband and wife" because they are a common figure of speach. I had never actually looked up the definition of the words. Just to stir the pot, according to the Oxford english dictionary=
husband- master of a household; the male head of a household the manager of a household or establishment; a steward
Going by this definition, if a woman sees herself on equal footing as her spouse, or if she feels that SHE is the head of the household, the word "husband" could be seen as inappropriate. To a feminist, the word could be seen as offensive. It just depends on your point of view.
Having said that... Some people are too thin skinned. There are also some people that like to create issues where none exist just to draw attention to themselves.
