Wednesday last week went to start bike and ride to work. nothing when i put the key in. So headed to work put a new battery on charge went and changed it out.bike starts fine now. my parts guy and put the bike on a battery tool that checks charging volts and if the battery is good or weak or needs charge. volts at idol were 13.92-14.02 volts at 3000rpm 13.92-14.02 what i need to know is this the correct volts. the reason i ask is under the charing check the machine says charning problem so we pulled the bike inside and talked to the service manager they said they would check and came back everything is fine, according to the tech. Thanks for any help on this!

Hi Endoman I have had problems and read many articles on this and they say if the volts are above 13.8 running then the charging system is good and the bike should be fine,

what I have done is bought a volt meter and test the voltage at the battery every day to see if it is draining or staying the same and have not had a problems.

I would get a cheap volt meter at walmart and then measure volts at the battery running, and non running before a ride, and after a ride, and right down the volts when you park your bike to see if it discharges when sitting,

this will let you know that the bike is working like it should,

I also hooked up a led light to the accessory outlet,

the bike is designed to shut off the accessory outlet if the battery drops to low and the light lets me know if that happens,

I have not had the light go out on me and gives me piece of mind that the bike is working.
