For anyone who has installed their own Mikuni carb on a tuber, I have some questions. Was it hard to dial in?? Are they plug and play or am I gonna have to jet/tweek extensivly. We have no dyno up here in the sticks.. Recommendations... |

Percy My 42 & 45 were very close, you could almost call them plug-n-play. Very easy to tune. Only thing I changed was I went with the mikuni enricher cable.Check out their site for tuning should you need it. Joe |

Ig: I'm not sure sure how they come jetted out of the box, I bought a used 42 from another BWB'er. Per Aaron Wilson's recommendation I started with: 175 main, 70 nozzle, 27.5 pilot, and a 97 needle. Seems pretty much spot on, but my motor's got some significant mods and I'm basically at sea level in a hot climate, so yours may be happy with something different. At any rate, they're easy to fiddle with. Hope this helps. rt |

i am pretty sure they come out of the box with a 160 Main. Set up from the factory is good for a stock motor, and modest altitude. If you have some decent mods, look to upsize the main and fiddle with the others, or save the headache and have a good dyno operator dial it in for you. |

Thanks everyone for the help. My motor is bone stock cept for the air intake which seems to work quite well(buggers up the cv carb). So I can bolt this puppy on and go riding right off. Thats cool. |
