Hey Folks. Just bought my second Buell. As usual, it has the ridiculously tall Australian gearing on it. Anyone got any ideas besides the horrendous wait for new replacements. Also, it's just had all its recalls (i know, way late) and the left engine mount bolt still leaks oil. Looking forward to hearing from anyone. Cheers, steve |

G'day steve, thats about all you can do wait for bits. But Al at American Sport Bike should get em to ya in around a week if he's got em in stock. You'll need a speedo calibrator too or a NZ speedo. I thought X1's were only made in 99? |

Steve, here is a site in Europe. They have quite a bit of stuff. If you don't see what you need at the site, I w/ try calling them. Good Luck http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/index.asp?gu id=YXHFSC |

Hi Steve, Good buy. S1s aren't exactly thick on the ground in Oz. I've got a '99 X1 and I quite like the standard Aussie gearing. I live in the bush so most of my kays are on the open road. 3000rpm at 120kmh is a doddle. I rode it from Melbourne to Tom Price in the Pilbara when I bought it. Good luck. |

S1 has a cable drive speedo off the front wheel. Change ratios at will, speedo won't know or care |

Steve, If you're still hunting for pulleys, try ebay or badweb classifieds. That's how I got mine, saved a heap over new ones. Really glad I changed it too, much nicer to ride |
