the nice thing about the supertrapp is that it's tunable and i dont think that d&d is. and i don't think that d&d is louder than the force but the force was on the bike i have now it was directly underneath me which even with earplugs on it was still loud.(to loud) i've never heard of any complaints about the d&d so you might want to try it. |

I have a brand new V&H aluminium that I took off as soon as I put it on. It is louder than two skeletons makin love on a tin roof in a hailstorm. Im in B.C canada so it wud be a mofo gettin it to you in Maine. You probably wouldnt like the sound anyways(very very loud but tinny/unpleasant/annoying). |

Fbalz- Put the open endcap on the discpack and it will give you a nice deep tone to the pipe. I use the closed cap most of the time since I leave for work at 6:15 and don't want to rile the natives. |

Hey Forrest! How's it going? And how is the old M2 doing? I think of it and you occasionally. So you want to get a little more noise out of it, huh? Here is a photo you can use for your profile if it has not changed too much:
I'm in the process of getting my FXD painted and it will be about the same color as that was. I'm still in pieces and down in the basement for another too weeks or so. Let me know where you're working at this year: jacker@midmaine.com Jack (Message edited by jackbequick on April 13, 2008) |

I have a Vance & Hines on my S1W. It sounds decent and is loud, but not obnoxiously so... My stock looking Spec Ops pipe on my XB is louder! |

I just repacked/overstuffed the V&H can on my Cyclone. It definitely made it sharper and louder. It's still fairly quiet at idle, but when you crack it open you can really hear it. I hope it isn't too loud. I am a bad judge. I have a high tolerance for sounds I love. Bill |

Just remember you may loose torque and power buy running a straight pipe or glass pack with no baffles, when I took my V&h pipe with blown packing off and put the stock on it ran way better, engines are engineered to be run with a certain amount back pressure, also the cop factor sometimes its better to not be heard from 5 blocks away. On the other hand I have the supertrapp and with 15 disc its louder than stock but not rude loud, but with the trap you can tune it for volume or HP and always go to the open end cap if you just want LOUD. |

Never, Pipe is working good. Minor resonance issue when cruising along in the low to mid 3000 rpms, but nothing that can't be dealt with. |
