The biggest all motorcycle convention is held every year at Lake George New York in the Adirondack mountains between june 2 - 7,

it is the largest gathering of all makes of bikes from all riders all over the world and is not like Laconia or Daytona beach,

they have on and off road guided tours and other events,

if I go alone I probably will take my sons ulysses so I can do a off road tour unless I was meeting up with you guys then I would have to have my bike.

If you are planning to go you got to get hotel rooms early,

you can find more info at www.tourexpo.com

Baggermike,

I am planning on going again this year. If you have not been before, the group I go with does a lot of test rides on demo fleets attending by most motorcycle vendors. One in our group rents a cabin for the week and we drop in and out as needed for the week. I plan on about 4 days probably. The traffic in the area is VERY congested and SLOW. We took off to some back roads and went to Lake Placid one day for a brisk ride. Good weather most of last year. I have not gone on the organized rides. Others told me they can be frustratingly slow in some cases.

There were very few Buells present but there were a few. Babired made it. Lots of bikes to look at.

I'm 40 minutes away, I go every year.

The guided rides are VERY slow to the point you don't even feel like finishing them. I've been there, done that, and left early. I do a lot of the demo rides early in the week when it isn't busy, and then do unguided, self-guided, or "make my own way" tours later in the week.

It's a good time, and yes, Buells are few and far between. Last year I was on my Firebolt. I saw an X1, and XB12Ss and one other Firebolt aside from mine the whole week.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it for the whole event this year, but I'm going to try to get up there for at least part of the event.

Hopefully we can all meet up at a diner for some eats and a ride : )
