Love the concept.
Design leaves a lot to be desired.
I wish the Blast would receive a similar treatment.

That low seat sort of makes it look like a trials bike on steroids.

I have to say that I dig it... having witnessed so many of my friends starting to get into riding in the past few months, I can't help but be pleased with companies building bikes more suitable to beginning riders...though this one may be a bit expensive.

I dunno so much about a "beginner" bike with a "premium" price tag, though.
(And you know it will have a premium price!)

I love BMW's X line... but their tiny gas tanks take them off of my list entirely.

touratech has a monster tank that for that Xchallenge, but it is $1000.00
Maybe its a beginner adventure bike for those with experience, cuz that seat height and price will not be stealing any Blast deals from Buell

The fuel tank is actually located below the seat. I couldn't find the capacity, I would imagine 4.5 to 5 gallons. Just a guess.

read the impression in motorcyclist for some good info.

if you are worried about buell parts prices, bmw probably won't please you....

ktm has a fun 690 that comes in 3 flavors...it is pretty cool, but.....

THIS IS A BUELL SITE, RIGHT?

The BMW motorcycles website lists the fuel capacity on the X bikes as 2.5 gallons.

That's unacceptable for me at least.

I think Touratech did make an upgrade, but it was only to 4 gallons, still pretty weak, but the location of the tank really limits them.

I have one at the moment.

It really is good. Range isn't a problem around here either.

Looking forward to reading your analysis Dave.

I would imagine it would be close to what the Buell 450 would have been.

I'm not doing the test - just got it to ride for a few days.

Really enjoying it. wheels handlebars motor seat and not much else - just how I like 'em.

Handles great on and off road.

I had a burn on the motard too and didn't connect with it. It had abs and it was just wrong for that type of bike.

But this thing is pretty nifty.
