Betcha didn't know there was a Ulysses, KS. Only the adventurous colored Uly's venture out this time of year to visit such places.
After all, what's 1,000 miles riding through Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Kansas, on pavement, gravel, dirt, snow, and for a picture, if not an adventure? And we be the culture of Ulysses.

about 12:30 today I was headed where this car came from, over Monument Pass north of Colorado Springs. You can just see the snow starting to fly as the front moved south.

I've been through Ulysses, PA and Ulysses, NY! Nice roads all around the area. Google earth it. Drove through to quick to stop for a pic. an real adventure ride would be a photo at all the Ulysses towns in the US. I think they are in KS, PA, NY, NE. About 1700ish miles. kinda sounds like a Team Strange event personaly. |

This time of year ice & snow add to the adventure, albeit, in small amounts. Here is last Sat night thru Monday evening's adventure, to Ulysses Kansas, on, a Buell Ulysses, but of course. http://rides.webshots.com/album/563031701VamISo Yes, a snow storm was a part of the adventure, this time of year a route with a mountain pass insures the heated riding gear gets used. Waiting it out in Colorado Sprgs didn't seem an exciting way to end the ride, especially since I had about a dozen HOG and business people meeting me back at the dealership for an installment of our planning this years 20th anniversary Ride to benefit the local Disabled American Veterans chapter. |

Yeah, but there's a Ulysses in my garage, and that's the best place I can think of for one (unless I'm riding it). |
