Lifestyle won't allow me to keep measurements on rotors. I doubt these pads will disentigrate rotor material to any degree. Bike will probably wear out before rotor's. But only thing I can figure about it using comon sense is that either the pad is sanding down the high spots or the high spots are routing their way through the material of the pad. High spots may, in reality, be areas on the rotor that are imperfections in the metal due to poor manufacturing. et: soft/hard areas of inconsistency. The Lindahl pads may simply have the ability to ignore these imperfections through their own material and design. The rotor metal imperfections could be affected drastically with the addition of heat creating bumps or valleys on the rotor surface resulting in irregularities that stock pads are reacting to. The Lindahls may simply be ignoring this imperfect surface. Hell, I don't know. They work! |

DEPOSITS ON THE ROTOR FROM PADS?!!!! Never heard of such a thing. But it's a brillient thought! If that is the case; shame on someone at R&D for allowing that to persist. Dealers are wasting time and money, not to mention Buell, replacing rotors over this when it's the pads. Amazing! But then it's understandable. How long have the torque values been plain wrong for drain bolts and how many more years will swing arms be replaced over it. Have to check the 1125R manual. Bet their still wrong. Interesting! |

All pads leave deposits on the rotors. Deposits aren't bad, it is uneven deposits that are bad. The stock pads are notorious for leaving uneven deposit layers, the Lyndalls are excellent at leaving a consistent deposit layer. |

Yeah, blotchy deposits bad, uniform good. Buell pads can leave blotchy deposits. I was astounded to see how much cleaner a rotor looks after installing a new set of the Lyndal pads. |

Jlnance Thanks for the link. Spectacular information. That link should be mandatory reading for every tech who works on bikes. Thanks again. |

Wanted to report back on the Lindahl pads. Rotor was rapid pulsing coming to stop. Shop ordered new rotor. I put on Lindahl pads before going to Suches with the original rotor. By the time I got to the campground, I had ultra smooth stopping. The pads worked wonders. Amazing. Shop did replace the rotor when I returned. Kept the Lindahl pads on it. Another 2000 miles since Suches and its still fine. Lindahl pads are the best of the best in my book. Highly recommend them |

Thanks for the follow-up. Question: Why did you still have the rotor replaced if the problem had been resolved with the new pads? |
