I've got an '08 Ulysses and would like to change out the exhaust. It doesn't appear there is a way to adjust the ECM or an available "race" ECM for the '08's. I've talked to a couple H-D dealers, one says don't do it, it'll run lean and the other says, no problem, the '08 ECM will adjust the mixture to compensate. Huh... I would like suggestions on what "can" to use, Drummer, Jardine, whatever, and/or should I wait until there is an upgrade path for ECM. Basically, will I cause problems changing out the exhaust without other mod's. |

Contact Kevin (Drummer) and pick his brain. He'll give you the straight scoop. |

I replaced my can on 08 Uly, and put in a K&N filter. Bike runs ok. Certainly not lean. ECM adjusts fine. Make sure you run at constant (3k to 3.5k) revs for 5 miles or so to let the ECM learn the new mix. I'm getting rid of the can though, and putting on a complete Micron header and exhaust system next week - I think that getting rid of the skinny UK/Europe headers will help power a lot. |
