I watch what others do with their bikes , sometimes with amazement , so I thought I'd ask ............ What are you using for a helmet lock ? What products have you found to your likeing ??? Or......Is there a helmet lock I cant find ? |

I'm going guess that the tool kit for the 1125R is similar to the Firebolt. In the pouch, there should be a cable with a loop on either end. Loop one end around your helmet, loop the other around the D ring for the passanger set lock and lock it down. It's not graceful, but it works. |

Doesn't it scratch? |

Think I like the Kryptonite coiled cable and a pad lock , it's simple , it might fit in the back hatch , then I could lock up a coat also , and the cable's coated so it wont scratch . |

well there is a wire again, but there is also a hook welded under the rear seat to hang your helmet eyelet on then just put your seat back on. |

I have a coiled wire that I got from a company a few years ago (they made it for locking computer hardware together) - and a cheapie combo lock. I use it through the sleeve of my jacket and through the face shield of the helmet (through the D-Rings works too but I've heard of vandals cutting helmets off with knives) - I only leave a helmet on the bike on those rare cases when I can't carry it in to the restaurant or store with me. |

I use a helmet bag that has a stainless steel web thew it so it is slash proof and locks with a long cable that you can run through the bike to keep it nice and tight, I think they cost around fifty. Mike |

Now I'm not standing within a 1000 miles of my bike at the moment. But isn't there a helmet lock under the rear seat? Isn't that what that little aluminum hook is for, to hook your "D" rings in there and then lock the seat over it? That's what I guessed anyway, though I've never used it. |

I have also seen bar end locks for helmets at www.aerostich.com and add weight so it will dampen vibrations also. Mike |
