I drove an hour in traffic to Stone Mountain Harley today because they had a set of the discontinued Amber Rider Heel Guards in stock for my XB12. I bought them ... brought them home ... and they were passenger not rider!  GRRRR ... I should have checked in the store ... Oh well .. gotta go back and return them now ... FYI ... the do have two 1125R's in the showroom for sale. I also picked up a Buell T-Shirt ... and the gave me a 10% BadWeb discount ....  (Message edited by dmhines on March 29, 2008) | ||

What did they have in stock for t's? Last time I went they didn't have the right sizes...did it look like they had a lot this time? I should just get off my lazy arse and go check myself, only 2 miles down the road... | ||

They had all size T's .. not a very big selection though. One of these days I need to go to their Conyers store ... they just opened up a Complete Buell Store inside the dealership ... some sort of test that Buell Corporate is doing ... (Message edited by dmhines on March 30, 2008) | ||

before you go to the conyers store I'll check it out for you and post back up. i'm not sure if they have completed the stepchild section yet. it's only a few miles from me and i'm kinda curious myself. now if we could only get Smokescreen, or someone like him at GMHD that store might be alright. last time I was in there, I asked for the Badweb discount, and they asked me " what is badweb?" kinda figured since it was the same owner as SMHD they would be on the same page, but I guess not. Thats a good group of folks and cant see (Buell) cust. serv. as an issue. ...And the setup they have is nothing short of amazing. The Buells are right up FRONT complete with a Buell lounge area, constant promo video display, and merch out the yang. Props to the designer that put the display together. Hands down, Granite is the most visually appealing Buell dealership Ive been to. It makes a Bueller feel welcome and wanted inside the store. Warm fuzzy. Ill post pics if there's an interest. Sorry for getting a little off topic. I've already talked to the Stone Mountain HD about the incorrect part ... they said to just bring it back and they would see what they can do to get me the correct guards ... I'll probably ride the Buell over there when I bring them back ... it was raining when I picked them up so I was in my truck .. | ||

SMHD def has the "staff" aspect covered, although the BuellLand thing at GMHD is kinda cool. But, SMHD has the setup right up front too, it just doesn't have all the gizmo's. | ||

I was driving back from Florida this morning and decided to make a detour over to Granite Mountain HD .... The Buell display itself is impressive .... but they have only a tiny rack of accessories ... traction pegs & grips ... airbox protector and some keychains and stickers. They had several types of shirts and jackets and a couple helmets ... And I'm pretty sure Stone Mountain HD had more accessories in stock ... If I had driven there just to check it out I would have been a little upset .... The Buell section is still like 1/40th of the store .... The do have a Nice 2007 Leftover XB12Scg Cherry Bomb waiting for a new owner! I didn't ask the price but maybe somebody could get a good deal .... |
