I am trading in my 03 xb9s for an 08 xt but want to lower the handlebars. Does anyone know if I will be able to remove the grips without damaging the heated grips and if i will need to order new grips with the handlebars. Planning on the Renthal low rise bars from American Sportbike. Also once the bars are lower would an xb clutch cable fit to get the excess cable length out of the way?? Thanks |

The heated grips are screwed into the handle bar. You will need to drill 2 small holes in the new bars to secure the grips. Buell sells the handy drilling guide, C2031.1AK HANDLEBAR DRILL FIXTURE,HEATED HANDGRIP Retail Price:$27.20 http://froggypwns.com/buellpdfs/Buell_Heated_Hand_ Grip_Kit_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf |
