Here's the story; my S2 was laid down by a friend not too long ago causing some slight damage. The left side was basically untouched. The rear section has some shallow scrapes on the right side, the fairing is scraped on the bottom right side, the pipes have a some rash, the right mirror is broken, the fairing spider is bent slightly, and the right side isolator plate has the passenger peg support broken off. The right handle bar is bent but I've already ordered a new one. Otherwise the bike is fine. It runs great and has about 14K miles on it. I've driven her since the accident and she handles as good as ever. Would anyone be interested? She is worth more in pieces but I could never part her out. All she really needs is just a little work to make her good as new. I'm only offering her up because I've been looking at a new bike for quite some time and I can't afford to fix the S2 and get a new bike. Buelltours: I will probably never get rid of it even if I get something newer, but I'll keep you in mind if I do. I have been looking at a lot of used XB's lately. I do have a pile of Yamaha XS650 tracker projects that I'd part with though........... TK | ||

Curtis, I actually ran ito my bud at the HD shop today. He said his wife would not be happy with him bringing home another bike, so its a no go. Sorry man. I thought for sure he'd jump on it. If I had the $$$ I would. BUMP | ||

None of the fiberglass cracked, just scraped. The fairing was scraped down into the fiberglass.  There is barely any fiber showing in the rear. Mostly it's just into the gelcoat.  (Message edited by Not_Purple_S2 on January 15, 2008) | ||

Curtis, a friend of mine is looking for a tuber and the last time we talked he was looking for a M2 since that was what he had in the past but he was impressed with my S2. He moved to WY after he retired and I have not heard from him since. He has a BadWeb account "leatherneck" but the only time he was on the BadWeb was from my house. I left him a message and will let you know what he says. I will be at March Badness (depending on deployments, i might be in AK) and will be driving so I could always pick it up if he is interested. Is it still for sale? If so let me know. I have a $3500 top end for my sporty sitting in my room that I could sell t get the cash for it. I'd buy it in a heartbeat for $2K... OR if you'd rather... The top end is ported/polished STD with oversized valves, dual plugged, just had new valve seats and guides put it last week, and Axtell cylinder 1212cc with Hurricane 11:1 dome pistons and 30* squish. I'll trade the cylinders, pistons and heads straight across if you'd like... These with SE .536's and HSR42 should get you 110-115RWHP...I need to know ASAP though. |
