Do you think it will be possible and/or practical to convert a standard X suspension to a lower XT suspension, in order to lower the bike a bit? |

Might it be better to consider buying an XT instead of an X? What year is yours, the XT has the latest engine mods, lighter wheels and better turn radius than the 06/07's so if you have one of those you'll gain a fair bit by upgrading the whole bike if height is an issue. |

I have a 2008 X - so it is more of a parts question than bike swap. I am totally pleased with the '08 X - but would appreciate dropping it an inch. |

I doubt that the XT has a better turning radius, cause the triple trees are not off set. The one I was siting on a few weeks ago, at least did not have it. Ride safe Werner |

I got both sitting in front of me, you can clearly see the difference with the steering lock of the XT vs X. The XT looks the same as the 06-07 Uly. |

The XT does have the same fork diameter and tree setup as the pre-08 X. |
