Has anybody rode the old Nez Perce trail also called the Magruder Road between Darby, Montana and Red River Ranger Station Idaho? 115 miles of rough scenic gravel road--- |

I've ridden the first 70 miles from the Elk City side, it was really good gravel, you could ride it on a gold wing. The scenery was very disappointing, not a ride I would repeat. |

Grew up riding an XR75 and Trail 90 on those back roads. I am sure they have way more traffic now, but they were pretty desolate when I was there. Perfect for drifting and pushing the bike through the corners. Dont know about the poor scenery, I was too buzy watching the road. I would love to ride there again. |

We rode it last year. Very desolate. One of the most remote areas in the lower 48. Go here and ask. Lotsa locals know and ride it regularly......conditions permitting: http://www.advrider.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f= 48 |
