Name your favorite for agressive riding, (with rearsets). Plus pros and cons. I'm stuck between clip ons and the xroads |

Superbike would be fine for about 90% of your riding - after that the price goes up almost a 100% - so it would really be up to you - don't leave out the Jota/Laverda - their adjust-ability is really nice, the Telefix clip-ons(profi-type) for their amazing 4 way adjust-ability as well - and moose - bars as well - lol GT - JBOTDS! It really does depend on your budget and style of riding and comfort. I've tried a lot of them - lol GT - JBOTDS! EZ |

Superbike style bars have great leverage and put you in a very comfortable riding position...but at higher speeds wind blast and buffeting is an issue, as well as sometimes inducing twitchiness due to do unintentional rider inputs. I don't think a bike that is light steering to begin with needs 'em. I tried a drag bar for a short time but found the angle extremely uncomfortable and the bar was a little too high and a bit to close for my tastes. For this same reason I did not purchase Crossroads. For the past six years I've been using Graves clip-ons. In town they get uncomfortable after about half an hour or so, and my hands get numb during extended highway riding, but I still like 'em best. The feel, the angle, the riding stance; everything feels perfect. |

I have used a number of different handlebars, Superbike, Clubman, Drag, MotoX, ATV amoung them, all have their highlights and low points. For me pullback is as important as rise and often more so. I tried a set of Crossroads and actually prefered my Telefix Clipon's at the time. Clip-ons have a better vibration dampening IMO than an handlebar does. FYI my Telefix Racer Clip-ons are for sale $100 shipped |

xgecko,I pm'ed you about the clip-ons. the only reason I was cosidering xroads is because I wanted to put a scotts steering damper on it, its gonna be tough to do without handlebars. Oh well, xgecko email me ampyitx@hotmail.com (Message edited by ampy549 on August 20, 2007) |
