My dad's been window shopping for a 'new' motorcycle for a long time. He was leaning towards a Shadow 750, but I was able to save the day at the last second and found him a good deal on a 97 sporty 1200. It's standard height and has some stupid buckhorns. On the plus side, it's got a nice seat, sissybar, rear rack, etc and it tastfully done. Once she's home, I have some shorter rear shocks, a bar from my custom and a couple of other peices to help him personalize it |

putting shorter shocks on the back may look cool to some, but it does adversely effect the handling of the bike... |

I got rid of my Sporty for a reason... The added benefit is that I can carry girls on the back when they're intimidated by the Buell. The front will be lowered accordingly if I can't talk him out of leaving it at the stock height. |
