Chameleon wrote: Dang Ron... I've already got over 2000 miles on mine. You need to catch up. You having any charging problems? If you've been keeping it on a tender, you probably wouldn't notice. Yep, winter has been a little tough for me to get the break-in miles covered on the 1125. If it's raining or too cold or the ride is going to be short I jump on one of the beamers. The 1125 she's a bit of a queen.... she don't like getting dirty much. I have had none of the charging problems that I have read about. No tender and sometimes a couple of weeks between starts. As a matter of fact the only issue thus far was the overfilling the oil reservoir by the dealer and that was found and fixed promptly. Love this bike! The 1125 will be once again neglected for a couple of weeks while I'm off giving attention to the big GS. Leaving the gloomy PNW for parts south on 12 March for a 10 day desert excursion. A little time climbing at J-Tree, some backcountry exploring at Death Valley, and about 3K miles of asphalt. It's gonna be fun! B(o)(o)b, you sure you can't get some time off from the rock mines? Ciao! Ron |

In case anyone is interested, and has some time to kill, feel free to check out pictures from my visit to Guatemala. http://s96.photobucket.com/albums/l193/ericsg/Guat emala%2008/ This wasn't a motorcycling trip, although I did get on a 250 for a day ride. Enjoy. |

So where is Duane & Lisa's? I should be able to attend if it's not too far from Tacoma. I'll know closer to the 8th what my work schedule should be like. |

I'll be coming with Jim and Harve. Trip itinerary is unknown at the moment. I have to talk to Jim tomorrow. I'll call you too, Bob, about 9 pm. I expect to be exchanging a cheque for a title certificate but picking up the bike at some later date. Hopefully there'll be a travel plan that includes swinging by your house for a look see (and a cold one) but its not necessary. Whether its doable, I'll have to consult. Your place is farther south than Dwayne and Lisa's, yes? |

Eric, mabey 30 min's, tops. I heard her runnin' the other day. Was a great wkend here in the rain forest; got to ride Sat and Sun. Shake-down cruise after having taken so many fasteners off. What the hell is a foot- pound? I think she's runnin' at 100%, and still settin' off car-alarms! Chris&Loni, will be great to hang with ya this wkend! And it will be great to have the F.O.G.G. all together! Plus an early "THANK YOU' to Duane and Lisa! It is so cool to be at your house with this bunch of nuts! You guys rock! |

Some miserable proto-human that must have only recently seperated from the Sargaso Sea. pushed poor Betty over last night. Why, oh why, sez I. So this is twice in 6 months... They used the SportyEric method, and tipped her up-and-over her kickstand. Luckly I have an enormus # of replacement blinkers; when some people I know that USED to have Buells went all aftermarkety, they gave me the left-over flashy things. Hmmm, just thinking about it, there are a lot of other people's used parts on Betty; Debbies old header, FunJimmy's Vance&HInes, the fly screen and headlight assy. from Gootch, front fender from S1 Blackie, one bolt from Roadrash's Dead Redhead... I truly and deeply thank you all! Since this has now turned into a thank you card, I can not, nor will I ever forget all the help I've gotten from...BOB. He knows everything I don't, (i.e. a lot) and he always helps me generously. I met him on this very BadWeb befor I picked up the S3, and he has led me to this present precarious state of affairs, ever since. I would follow him anywhere (but the bathroom). Well mabey, if he asked... So when the boy gets home from school were heading down to Tacoma Screw, home of ALL your fastener needs. Need one little nut, and after instalation Betty will be cleared for battle use once more. We will be waiting for Darkness to Fall... See ya all on Friday... |

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll make the Daytona party after all. A lingering cold and a Saturday search&rescue mission have conspired against me. Bastards. Galen, been there. Had it happen twice to my first Triumph, both times in Seattle. But I think at least one time the mutants were trying to steal it. Sorry, mate. Have fun, yall. |

Sold the Buell M2L yesterday. Money was burning a hole in my pocket, so put it down on a 2008 Italian beauty to be delivered in a month or so. Hint, she is red...................... Have fun at Daytona party, we have a local shindig, the Annual Summit Talent Show to attend. |

Shotgun! Saw your handle on the thread and expected to see your name added to the roll-call. Ah well. Congrats on the new ride. And othereric. If they're needing to be found and rescued now and they still need rescuing on Saturday, they can wait until Sunday. |

Galen Sorry to hear that another Puke has been hitting on Betty. The lay down and play dead style of rejection is a bit overkill though. Shotgun Congratulations! Red 1098? You can ride fast on American Iron too, as is evident in the picture of Bob. See you all later tonight

Ok, everybody gets 3 guesses at make and model. First one to guess correctly gets to try her out at Splash 2008. Funjimmy, you used your first guess with the Ducati 1098. Wrong. |
