I just wanted to give an update to those who are still riding in the arctic weather. Last Fri. I got a chance to ride a couple of hours in upper 70's temperature. While in traffic I felt a little bit of heat coming from the left side of the bike, probably due to the fact I've wrapped and coated the pipes on the right side. This was after going up and down RPM range having some fun. The temp on the bike never got above 210 while in traffic either and I averaged 35 MPG. I'm very pleased so far. We'll see how she acts as it gets into the warmer months.

Shit - green grass and Live Oaks. Pretty soon there'll be Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush. This is the time of year I miss Central Texas. Enjoy the coming Spring. Zack |

You know it Zac. The weather right now is just right, not to hot or to cold. Except for the regular college station showers, i couldn't ask for better weather. 1500 miles here also and still going strong, with minor electrical bug of course. Gig em |

Almost 1500 and the bike is flawless in power and handling and seems the charging system is weak but working. Now that I have the bike back I will be hitting 2000 soon, and would have been there already if it had not been in the shop for almost a month. WOW now I know how to type better. Mike |

Mike - that's BEAUTIFUL!!!! I just passed 2400 miles today(played hooky from work) and it keeps getting better. Doesn't hurt that it's getting warmer too. I need a new air filter element..... Z |

Sunday I rode up into Wyoming, didn't get home until dark. The cliffs around Chugwater are really cool. I can't wait to be able to venture into the hills. Still too unpredictable, snow-wise. Z |

Bastage... We had some freezing rain and now there is 2 inches of ice on my driveway. I need to get my bike to the dealer to find the source of the massive fuel smell. Might have to take it in the back of the truck. I used to live in Fort Worth about 10 years ago. Man time flys. I had a 600 katana while i was there and it was my year round transportation. Grocery shopping was fun. Had 2 backpacks full and sometimes 2 trips. By the way 2 backpacks = saddlebags on a crotchrocket. With a little duc tape anything is possible. I loved the weather in Texas. At night it would get close to freezing but in the daytime it was back up to 70. |

Haven't had a chance to look yet,but I wonder if there's someone with a foam pod filter that would work until K&N came out with one?? |
