Head temperature maybe? |

If the ecm sees voltage from the o2 sensor perhaps this will stop the warmup enrichment. I don't think so. As with the other sensors, the ECM monitors the voltages all the time, but does not take them into calculation. The time required to heat up the O2 sensor will be roughly always the same, but not the time reaching a given engine temperature. So going into closed loop within warmup enrichment would lean out the mixture, and this is definitely not what's wanted. Regards, Gunter |

Wouldn't the engine warmup quicker with a leaner mixture? |

The time required to heat up the O2 sensor will be roughly always the same, but not the time reaching a given engine temperature. So if the temp sensor is getting hot first there still won't be any accurate mixture correction until the O2 sensor is hot enough. |

Yes, but time for heating up the O2 sensor to 300 degC/570 degF (minimum working temp.), directly hanging into exhaust gas stream, will be much shorter than the time needed to warm up the engine. I believe DDFI idles in open loop at all temps. |

I know my bike would die about 10 seconds after starting it. Would sometimes take 4 tries to get it to idle without dieing. After my TPS reset though, it no longer dies while idleing when cold. Not sure if that really means anything, just something I noticed |

removed the engine vent from the air cleaner and ran it to a K&N PCV filter and no more fouled plugs . No more oil residue in air box either ! |
