Weather looks good for a ride, Who's in? Perhaps meet at Latus for a formal club meeting to get everyone on the books and collect membership dues? (Message edited by Borrowedbike on February 19, 2008) |

I'm in for a few hours. But I am running out of ideas for riding routes for this time of year. Any thoughts of a route? |

Do you think Meadow lake road would be clear? Meadow lake to Gilbert creek Rd into Willamina and back up to McMinnville? Not sure what they look like. Paved? Who's got a GPS? |

GPS? Paul? I am free Saturday. Lets try and meet early enough that we have enough time to ride together. Look forward to seeing you all again. $50 for the dues, right? |

Yup $50. I am good for as early as you all can make it out of bed. Anytime 7am-9am? Gators? Latus does not open until 9:00am Yellow tuber also posted that there is a grand opening at PIR and you can take your street bike around the track @ $10. Maybe we should work this into our ride? |

You guys could try running up and down Skyline, Germantown, McNamee, Newberry, etc. That way you would be close to the St. Johns Bridge for an easy jump to PIR. |

Morning Guys... I like the PIR Idea, Anyone have time to confirm? Mark, Can you make it to collect funds? I have the GPS and can take a look at routes if we agree on where we want to go. |

Here is the PIR schedule for Saturday. (PDF) http://www.portlandraceway.com/docs/FOPIR-reopen.p df It looks looks like a lunch at noon and laps start at 1 pm. |

Think I can probably meet at PIR, not sure about making it to Latus. We have an a.m. delivery that has to be done at a certain time and then I should be free. Also, did a test ride with my arm yesterday after installing my Drummer catch can and my arm didn't bother me. Thinking as long as I take it easy and don't go chasing Paul around the countryside, I should be good to go. And since it's a guided track session, I think that would be o.k. as well. |

Ok Sounds Like PIR is on the schedule. I'll try and plan a route that has us there noonish... Relaxed Pace... |

Paul, relaxed pace for you is a full blown race for some of us.. Sounds good. So Latus is the meet spot? Paul what about around the terwilliger park park area to marquam national park to Council crest park onto patton rd to scholls and over to skyline? Just an idea. We have not explored the NW hills all that much yet. |

Will be at PIR 12noon for the re-opening and slow lap tour of the revised track. Will collect PBR $50 membership fees from those present. ***Of course, my participation depends on HoneyDo list commitments*** Likely that the PIR crowd will be big, so advise we choose a PBR spot to convene, possibly on west side of paddock (bathroom side). For those new to PIR, here's a good overview of the old track configuration: http://www.oregonpca.org/DriverEd/driver_ed.htm Scroll down to map and "A Lap of the PIR and the DE loop." Can't wait to see what's been changed on the backside turns! Hope to see you all there! |

If you plan to meet at Latus, then I'll check against the wife's lanscaping project schedule to see if I can leave home earlier. What's the meeting time at Latus? |

Hey, I paid for the whole tire, Why not use it? I mean the chicken strips cost $$ too, I'm just trying to be cost effective? OK SO I found a Route from Gators to Latus that keeps us off Major roads and should take ~30 to 40 Minutes. Haven't ridden it yet, but looks better than 205 from the computer screen. Do I do a route from Latus to PIR, or Form Gators to PIR? I like the Sweed's par jump... |

I have a 56 Mile route from Latus to PIR than includes a loop on Skyline and Old CPR. It's listed as ~2 hours. If we do that we need to leave Latus about 10 or 10:30 at the latest for PIR, We can trim the at any time... So.. We can Skip Latus alltogether and Meet at Gators. We can Meet Early at Gators, Go to Latus, then to PIR. Or we can meet at Latus in the 9 AM Hour, leaving there tenish. Mark / Brady, Plan a route in So-Lame area so us Northeners have to come down and see you soon... Not fair for the two of you tohave to come up every time... |

Will likely meet you all at PIR 12noon. Good place for a mid-valley meet is McMinnville, Alf's burger joint. Can ride out 22 from there and loop the Beaver-Willamina road, or Beaver-Carlton. Silver Falls SP is a good local (Salem) ride. My favorite local ride is Albany-SweetHome-Sisters-McKenziePass, but it's most of a day. |

Great day for PBR at PIR! That new track surface is a big improvement, and the change to Turn 7 (sharp right-hander before back straight). Good to see you all. Bill, that's a great looking XB9S... we were all drooling over the Hero Blue wheels. A couple o' cropped/resized pics from my phone:
