Do you really want to ride in that traffic on an unfamiliar bike again? (That was the wildest demo ride I've ever been on!) |

Do you really want to ride in that traffic on an unfamiliar bike again? (That was the wildest demo ride I've ever been on!) Yeah, it's hard to get a good ride in around here in less than an hour. Takes a good 20 or so minutes just to GET to the good roads. Demos are tough. THAT'S WHAT MAKES RENTING SO MUCH BETTER! Take the day, (or the weekend!) and within an hour of us, there's great riding! In almost any direction, you can get great scenery, even some mountains and twisties. We're only about 30 minutes from Watchung, and then if you keep going west, you'll hit penna and some great mountains in the poconos. North, and you're only a few hours from the New York border and lots of cool mountainy areas. Down south, there's the shore, and some great back roads that are nice and lonely. Don't go east though. It gets real wet real fast. Although, if you persevere, you will eventually hit England. ->ChelleM |

Finally someone sees the light. I have been trying to "rent" a Uly for the past year for an extended demo. Dealer said no go. Insurance won't cover it. Now that you guys are renting a 1125r, I will point that out to them. I would suspect the insurance rates are brutal for offering that service. |

>>>few hours from the New York border and lots of cool mountainy areas. Including the "ribbon road" where BMW used to film the famous car commercials . . . . there are some wonderful riding areas within 2 hours of NYC and I can show you a LOT of great riding within 42 minutes. Don't rule out the midnight coffee and cheesecake runs either. Nothing quite as fun as setting out about midnight under a full moon and watching the city throb. SoHo at sunrise for omlettes and coffee. . . . Could be very cool. |

I haven't had good New York cheesecake in a long time; and I've never eaten breakfast in SoHo. I bet there are a few people who'd enjoy a Midnight Ride. |

If you'd like to plan one . . . we can set it up and maybe we'll do tours of the Buell Museum.

Nothing quite as fun as setting out about midnight under a full moon and watching the city throb. I can appreciate a Summer's night ride through the city, Atlanta anyhow. A whole different feeling, a city at night. Hot, humid, with the city lights, it's kind of nice. The sort of opposite of a mountain run, but just as unique of a feeling. |

You got that right . . . one of my favorite memories was leaving the Buell Club (by the way, they were the FIRST in the "new Buell" era") after dinner in Marietta, GA one night. I got back to my hotel in Atlanta after riding 600 some miles that day and just couldn't wind down. I thought what the heck and leapt on the bike and set out. I recall Lookout Mountain under a gorgeous moonlit night. . . and then rolling into Nashville in the wee hours . . . fun time to ride. By the way . . . if you want the ultimate "out of this world" experience . . . . start about Ely, NV and wander "America's Lonliest Highway" to Reno. That will give you a clear perspective about what NOTHING is. I did it in a car one night in 1996 and stopped, under a full moon, cranked up the stereo and laid on the hood for an hour counting stars. |

Lonely drive? Try Las Vegas to Elko! Stopped once to stretch and just left the truck parked in the lane on the highway. Yea, that lonely. Drove it once at night and like Court said, stopped to star gaze, amazing! |
