i finally sold my harleys, or should i say i gave them away... the motorcycle market sucks at the moment...when you cant sell a clean 07 roadking for more than 12k bucks, i hate would to try and sell some of the other brands... the point is: i was going to buy two s-3 tubers, but i got a rightous deal on an 06 triumph rocket... so im going to buy it and one tuber... heres my choices at the moment... 2001 M-2 pristine 3k miles for 3900 bucks...(maybe convert it to an s-3).. 2000 s-3t just ok condition 24k miles 3k bucks.. 2000 s-3 very good condition 24k miles 4k bucks...plus 400 bucks to ship.. any thoughts?? |

3rd cyclone, i think some one put s3 bags on a cyclone once. and i know someone has the fareing on one. can't remember who it is.(have a problem with short term memory)s3's are great but you will never go wrong with the m2. |

A local dealer has a still unsold, new 2002 X1W. It has 45 miles and comes w/ a 1 year warranty. They are only asking 4995$. If you are n ot close I am sure they will ship. The warranty is from Buell and s/ be good at any dealer. |

i put a deposit on an 06 triumph rocket with 5k worth of extras for 9k bucks... its a great price, but ive been on the forum and quite a few owners have been having tranny and drive bearing problems... it kind of spooks me... however, the harleys are having bad crankshafts, bmw rearend problems... is there a brand that isnt having issues? if so, i havent found them.. i never had a breakdown with my tubers, but i guess they have had issues too.. |

They have an ad on traderonline.com. Go to motorcycles, click on Buell and enter 60091 for zip. Scroll thru the ads to find the 2002 X1W. It is at Chicago Harley/Buell. I bought my "new" 2000 X1 there last summer. I paid 7,000 and thought I got a good deal. This is a steal and an '02 with the least problems, plus you get the warranty. |

I bought my 2000 S3 "new" from a dealer 2 years ago. It had 12 miles on it. It was great to have the warranty -- helped me sort out a lot of bugs that would have been expensive if I had, had to pay. |

thanks for the tip sir lizard... i see they have a 99 with 861 miles at a good price too.... is there a big difference between a 99 and an 02 to justify a thousand bucks other than the warranty? |

i put a deposit on a "cream puff" of an 01 m-2 with 1500 miles today that belongs to a board member... im happy with the deal... i would love to find a puff on an S-3, but some of the x-1 deals are inviting... |

The 99 had some FI issues and a few other niggles, there are recals listed in the kv. my 01 x1 30k miles largely trouble free, just niggles.. the X1 is the last tube frame design it has the removable side plate FI molded in color on some versions. |

anyone live around pensacola? i see a 00 x-1 at a dealer there for 3600 bucks... it would be nice if someone could eye ball it... its got a forcewinder and some shade tree mods and the like, so it might have been abused... maybe not.. |

PM torquemonster, I believe he lives over there. If not I may be headed that way soon to get some frame pucks, but can't make any promises. |

i see a lot of S-2s and 3s forsale a long ways from florida....i have no way to get them and im not going to pay 5oo bucks to ship... heres a thought.. if you have one of these clean bikes forsale and are coming to bikeweek the end of this month, ride your buell down... i could buy it after you do the festivities and take you to the jax airport... |

update on the triumph... i canceled my deposit on it...it was a great buy and a nice bike, but damn thats a big bike.. its just not me...pm me if anyone wants the detals about it... im sure it would go for more than 9k on ebay.. btw, i went to the triumph forum and found the some of the owners were having serious mechanical problems with the rocket... i havent really found any bikes including harleys that arent having issues... Triumph makes a nice naked bike. Check out the Speed Triple. I was real close to getting that instead of the X1. |
