I have an 06 Uly and I'm in the process of opening up the air box and discovered the snorkel area on my bike is welded shut. There is no snorkel on the left front area where I've seen on the other x1's? I was going to cut the snorkel as in the mods I've seen here. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. Nothing to help with, 06's and later don't have the hole in the frame. However, The 06 airbox was a bit congested. I suggest at minimum to put an 07 inner airbox on it. You can get a view of it here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17089.html. The only place it doesn't have inlets is where the 06 box does. The location of the inlets on the 06 box never made a whole lot of sense to me. Al |

Hey, Al ,does a person "have" to re-flash the ecm to 07 specs if they are putting a 07 air filter piece on a 06 Uly? |

Al, The area on the frame where the snorkel used to be is still on my 07 12R. Is there still a void inside these plates? I am thinking about a forced induction setup and would like to know before cutting into a potential fuel area. |
