Does anyone know any place around New England that does dyno tuning using Ecm spy? It seems like Liberty Harley Davidson In NJ is the only place that can dyno my buell that is close by (in CT by the way), but they use Direct Link. Is it better and should I just go that way? |

I have to admit, I haven't touched ECMSpy, but we've had some great results with DirectLink. Maybe someone with experience with both could point you in the right direction. I would recommend DirectLink, just because I've seen personally what it can do to increase performance. Chris |

I RECOMMEND ECMSPY!!!! AS IT IS MORE AFFECTIVE !! YOU GET A FEW KEY AREAS NEEDED TO GET THE POWER OUT OF THE BIKE WITH OUT AFFECTING THE OPENLOOP AS THEY LEARN IN CLOSED AND OPEN TO GET TRUE POWER YOU NEED TO HAVE THE OPEN LOOP LEARN OFF. AS WELL AS THE DELAY TIMER IN OPEN LOOP CORRECTION. THESE TWO FEATURES ALONE ARE KEY FACTORS IN SETTING UP THE ECM. AS THERE IS THE APPLIED CLOSED LOOP ZONES AND THE LEARN ZONES THAT ARE MOVABLE IN ECMSPY. THIS PUTS YOU IN THE POWER QUICKER AND ALLOWING THE ECM TO WORK MORE TOWARDS THE POWER AND LESS TOWARDS EPA REGULATIONS. THESE FEATURES CANT BE DONE ON DIRECT LINK THAT I KNOW OF. MIKE |

I do like ecmspy mike. And had you tune my bike already. I was having problems though in the summer with pinging and kept getting a check engine light with the new maps. It runs amazingly now that its colder up here in new england. But who can dyno my bike and tune it via ecmspy as I want to get some motor work done to it. |

resend me the maps. i will make adjustments for you. also if you get me some good data logs. in the problem areas i will fix you up. i see the issue get me a data log. and what is the afv you have? we will do a few datalogs and adjust the maps as we go. let me know!!! your ping was at 2800 to 4500 60% to wot from 30 mph to aprox 60 mph. as far as what i see on the base map. if you never data logged it and adjusted the fuel. your too lean in the mid zone. bet i'm spot on on the area it was acting up in. again let me know!!!! we cant have a tune not working to its max. as i have your file here still at least the last file i sent out anyway. mike (Message edited by xoptimizedrsx on October 05, 2008) |
