Ft_b, Have you given any thought as to meeting us East Tennessee riders Thursday afternoon? I'm still flexing my schedule, but the other guys want to know. Orange, Squids, and myself, who are making the trip, and they have a couple of others that might go. We likely will have Gotj and Bill meeting with us to ride as far as the Dragon again. It'll depend on the mood of the warden. That adds a night away and one more for my wife with the monsters. She gives me little resistance for these "excursions", so I don't want to poke her in the eye for her consideration. Where are you guys staying Thursday night? I wasn't planning on camping since I'll be at C3 Central. It would be nice to be less than 100 miles from Deal's for Friday (and in the same time zone) than the 260 miles and one time zone when I leave Friday morning. When can I let you know? Kristi, when is the compound open? When are you guys getting there? My wife and kids will be heading out for spring break the week of the 17-23rd, so I'll be batchin it. Therefore, I may be making a warm up run out our way. Would love to hook up with you guys for a "tune up". |

Dare's go first! Only if he let's me borrow the magic suspenders. They're the only antidote to the pink panties I usually wear. |

Like I said this event is really a GREAT thing. No doubt about it. Just wonder why this thread is up to 800 plus posts. Its set up in a manner only a Custodian can. I cannot do this here, nor would it get done if requested here. Right now the only reasoning I get out of this right now is two 3%ers saying they are special and one is a custodian of this sight. Is that right??? Wow!!!! |

Actually, the reason the thread is nicely appointed is because Kristi is one of the organizers of one of the largest contingents at MBV and is a steely eyed Jedi with Discus coding. She is also pivotal in organizing and running the test rides. Were I (or most of the other folks here) setting the thread up, it would look like crap. Next event you guys pull together and would like similar "formatting" please talk to me or one of the other custodians. I suck, but I'd be willing to ask questions and learn how to do it for you. The 3%ers are only about 3% of the crew going to MBV. |

Storm Fronts is fine. That what Storm Fronts is for. 8 years of being a member here I'm used to the BadWeb. Homecoming is in alot our gig. It takes the like's of Hal's,Ukes,Appleton,ETC. to do Homecoming. The company doesn't do it all. The area clubs and enthusiast make that much more special. Its over there in Storm Fronts now and it should be. Please guys this is not me poking at you guys or the event. Its poking at how the BadWeb is doing things. Is it right. What is the Quick Board for??? What is Storm Fronts for?? What is Cool Buell Pictures for??? |

I agree Dana. Most folks here, though, don't visit Storm Fronts on a regular basis. Many do, though, visit Quick Board. The same problem exists in XBoard. How many "technical" threads get posted there instead of KV? How many posts are started there with technical questions and sit for days on end with no reply? Is it right? Nope. In fact, Blake implores in bright blinking words to place technical posts in KV. The problem is that people have certain behaviors that are difficult to overcome, and if they don't regularly view KV they won't be available to answer the technical questions that regularly get posted in XB and BBD. I visit QB, BBD, XB, and Backfire regularly. If there were and event sponsored by the Blast or Old School folks, I probably wouldn't know about it. In order to increase the number of folks who might want to attend who have never heard of MB, the thread was started in Quick Board. I'd say it worked. There will be a large number of first timers there. Were it posted in Storm Fronts, I doubt that many of those first timers would know about it. I agree that the same thing should be done for Homecoming. I would like to go, but I don't really know where to stay, what to expect, who to hook up with, etc. I'd like the same thread for Homecoming. I'm seriously considering coming. |

I agree with Jeremy there needs to be more info about homecoming. Plus Georgia is very centrally located on the east coast making it easy to get to for a lot of people. |

Thank you Jeremy. Check the storm front thread for host hotel info. This is a special year for Buell. I'm what you call a local. I'm 35 minutes from East Troy. Any question you might have I'l do my best to help. |

I will check out the thread. If I were going to make it to Homecoming ever, this is the year to do it! I'm just afraid I'll get kicked out. YOU'RE FAT BASTARD? SECURITY! SECURITY! |

Jeremy, What it needs is also a roll call section. It also needs a link to Buell. It also needs a link to the host hotel or state the info with phone number high lighted in another color to make it stand out. Is this some thing you can do??? |

Yea I wouldn't mind a thread like this for Homecoming as I will be attending that event as well this year. I would like to be able to keep up with everything like I can in this thread. |

Dana, I'll see what I can do. I would like a Homecoming thread IN Quick Board just like this one. Do we need to start it now, or can we wait until MBV is over. How much lead time do you want? I just don't want it do slip off the edge into the archive. This thread started in ernest about 90 days out. Same for Homecoming? You'll have to be patient with me, but I do want to help. |

Kristi, when is the compound open? When are you guys getting there? I'll check and see what time we can get in. For Buelltoberfest I think it was around 9:00 a.m. I hope to be there around 2:00 p.m. While that sounds nice and everything, it's only partially true. I do organize and plan for a large group (20 or so) for lodging, food, drinks, directions, collect money, etc. I do help at the demo table. It's a lot of fun and last year was my first time working at MBV. The demos are truly a Stone Mountain/3%er deal. I'm there for the fun of it. Dana - last year I kept the roll call for Homecoming. I did not do a folder, but will be glad to add one for Homecoming this year and keep track of everyone coming as well. I, like Glitch and F_b, will be glad to post anything in the announcement area that you ask us to. I guess I feel that Homecoming has some key players and I'm not one of them, so therefore I'm not privy to certain details of how things run or what's expected. Give us the word or information and we'll be glad to help you promote events surrounding Homecoming. |
