Ironicly, the best F&C I had in England was in the Train station in London from a chain F&C fast food joint LOL

Mellow Mushroom in Downtown Augusta, GA. Best pizza in the area and they are in the 101+ club. Meaning they have 101+ selections of beer. The one thing I miss from that area.

I can't believe no one has mentioned In n Out burger.

I have been know to travel quite a ways to have a double double. You Californians don't know how lucky you are.

As for unique chow, I will take a slice of Huckleberry pie from this hole in the wall pie shop just outside w.glacier MT.

Other notable would be an order of Chateaubriand from the Cliffhouse in Colorado springs.

G.....is maxwell's a restaurant. You mentioned style??????

Saintly.....I stop at Gary's every time I am in that area of the country. How about their nanner pudding. OMG.

Ferris...if you make it to the columbus metro area try City BBQ you will be surprised. The guy that runs it is fairly famous in the BBQ world, his brisket has won at the Royal. Now his pulled pork is pretty pathetic but the brisket is outstanding.

I had In-And-Out Burger in Las Vegas. VERY good. If you're ever here in New York you've got All American Hamburger on Long Island, and the Red Rooster Drive In in Brewster, NY for excellent roadside burgers.

+1 on the fish sandwich from Coleman's in Wheeling, WV

We made a trek there 2 years ago just for the sandwich. The riding in WV is nice too.

wine cellar in ABQ, NM

wish I could remember the name of the place but they served a thing called the Texas trash. South side of houston. Little place at a crossroads, screen door and a kitchen.

Corner grill in BG, Ohio.

Redamack's (sp?) in SW corner of MI by the lake...

if you are near or in Southern Virginia a great road trip is down route 17 to Edenton, North Carolina. It borders the Great Dismal Swamp and you will see some beautiful country. In Edenton the place to eat homestyle is the Chicken Kitchen on Broad Street. Breakfast, fried chicken (obviously), veggies and sea food the old fashioned way, with plenty of grease.

On the waterfront is Waterman's Grill. Up scale for Edenton, but geat!

Then cross the Albemarle Sound on route 32 to route 64 east to Columbia and there is the most unique pub called Mac's Back Door. You will have to ask a local where it is exactly because it is behind another store off a side street. But, they have the greatest atmosphere of a hard core waterman's bar and restaurant. They have pickles on the bar and tables, local hot sauces, and in the "R" months, oysters, raw, steamed, etc. Try the "Grunge" cheese, a North Carolina classic. Great with the pickles.
