Thanks, Usroute66. Just was curious if the little rev thing during initial start up was some sort of running sensor calibration or something that happened due to being new. My bike does exactly what Zac's does (from his post above). Certainly no bother to me, I was just curious. Thanks to you as well Zac.
Sure do love this bike and haven't even got her broke in yet!

Johnny (Sheridan_bueller), I believe the higher rpm's the motor is seeing at startup is quite normal as it is in most fuel injection vehicles just like most cars now. It is to offset a richer mixture and to keep the engine from loading up and possibly fowling plugs. Even most stock carburated engines do this when using some sort of choke system. Quite normal at fireup. Enjoy your ride, mines coming soon. Bob |

Hey guys if you think the 1125R goes to a high idle then you should start a buell blast, it as an electrical do dad on the carb, never seen this type of carb but it is like an electric choke and sometime goes to real high rpms, way higher than the 1125R, I do not like it, it goes really high rpms sometimes, it does not have a tach but would say 3000 or more. Tuono Joice's Aprilia would turn the Rotax engine over nicely and still not fire [on a NEW battery!]
after 8 years of listening to the M2 crank & fire immediately, what did I know?
an Aprilia dealership master mechanic who was walking by my garage [no kidding]
said, "lo battery"
further, "these fuel injections require full voltage to work"
so FastEd unzipped my Kragen's M/C jumper cable bag & connected the Tuono & M2 - bingo !!
ya gotta think the 1125R's mill would act more like an Aprilia than a tuber.....
file this anecdote away for troubled 1125R starting moments
