After searching / reading / many threads here, it appears as though i need my TPS reset. My issue is that once the bike is warmed up, it takes a while to rev back down when approaching a light etc when the clutch is pulled in / neutral. Is this something that Buellers typically say to a dealer - i need a TPS reset, and they can do it? There seem to be many threads of bikes coming back from the dealer worse that they went in, and I don't want that to be me as well... |

Yes, you can go to RP and ask for a TPS reset. The Raleigh dealer is generally pretty good. Mikethebike72 from this board works there. He isn't in the service dept, but say hi when you go in. He will make sure you talk to the right people. BTW, you might tell them why you think you need a TPS reset, so that if that doesn't fix it, they can look for something else. |

Mikethebike72 isn't how the dealership knows him. Ask for Mike the Riders Edge program manager. |

kudos to Brett at RP in Raleigh! Had the TPS reset and AFV checked this AM. (was indeed out of spec) Once that was done he mentioned his concern for a knocking noise on the left side. Said it could be your primary chain or a compensator nut. He checked the primary and it is loose, tightens to spec, and the noise goes away 98%. He says if you hear that change or increase, Please bring it in so we can re-torque as the specs have changed since 2003. That is the kind of service that really shines. He took the initiative and was concerned for what he heard as not being normal. Beyond the call of duty in my mind. |
