Thanks, I haven't pinned down an exact plan yet but I'll probably be stretching the trip to 2 days. Captnemo lives down here and is planning on going as well, so I'll have back up along the way. |

Sure, the more the merrier, I always say. I'm pretty sure Scott is going to take his truck. My plan is to ride along or ahead of him so that if there's any difficulties I have the calvary coming. I'm still a little wary, since I've never done a trip this long. I've ridden all day and all weekend before but never so far from home and never that long on the highway. |

On a trip THAT long, a "chase" vehicle is definately a necessity. I'll get to work on securing my pass from "the warden" right away. Maybe we could get an AL./FL. Buell ride together beforehand. Im starving to meet other Buellers in the vicinity. |

About that VFW barbecue... I'll have to read the T-shirt I got to tell you that info. I stumbled into it as I was wandering aimlessly in the area. Smelled food and saw bikes! Dive dive dive!! ha ha ha... There's a nice little mexican restaurant in the Elkhorn area near my hotel. |

I am putting in for the leave time very and should know soon if I will be able to make it. I will be trailering up from Florida with a few other Buelligans. We figure it will be better to trade shifts behind the wheel, than everyone ride up, be wore out and possibly in need of new tires!!! LOL Now.... the big decision is which bike to bring; the 98 S1W or the 2008 XB12R?? I'll bring both if I can!! |

Nat, thanks for the info. Looks like a cool place. At least they had a C130 pic on their homepage. My girl and I try to visit VFWs where ever we go. We found a great one up in the mountains close to Buena Vista, CO... We stayed a little too long and had to get a hotel close to it. At least it seemed close when we were sober.... Onahog, I make it to Sturgis just about every year. I stay in a locals yard real close to the Broken Spoke. We will have to hookup and have a few cold ones. Frank |

Onahog, I really don't know. I have never been to the Homecoming. I planned to go last year and work got in the way. I looked like it was a lot of fun. If I have to quit my job to go then I will do it. I seems to me that there will be a lot of local Buellers at Homecoming. I wonder if any of them will let their yard out for tent camping? If not then there should be a patch of grass next to the factory LOL I was at the factory last year and it seems to me there was a camper camp ground somewhere along the route but for the life of me I cannot remember where I saw it. Somebody local can probably provide that information. BTW: In Sturgis I stay two blocks North of main. The yard looks out over the park. Frank |

My folks live on Cleveland Ave in New Berlin about 2 miles away from Hals. I am sure we could let folks pitch tents in the back yard. Unfortunately it is a small house so I don't think we could offer showers but we can provide a hose if you are truly hardcore!! |
