We should have a Badweb group viewing of Aliens in HD at MBV, or homecoming! I always thought Newt was a kick-A little kid in the movie. It SUCKED that they killed her off in the third flic. BTW, that's the only movie she did and she's now a school teacher in California. (Message edited by hughlysses on December 06, 2007) |

Wow, I thought I was the only person who knew that. I was saving it to wow everyone but you beat me to it... MB wouldn't be bad... I'm sure we could get a drive-in to play it someplace... |

We can make our own buell drive-in. All we need is a big white wall of a building. I could bring a projector/sound system to MB. |

we would need power to run some powered speakers. Our bikes dont have radios, so the FM transmitter would not be the best idea. |

The Guerilla site (http://www.guerilladrivein.org/start-your-own.html) was very similar to something we did in my community during my elementary/middle/high school |

I can tell you what happened to the Mad Max film, He got old, & "Slightly Annoyed Max" wouldn't cut it. Best sequel, Crocodile Dundee 2. |

"Slightly Annoyed Max" I like it! My dad and I used to watch Crocodile Dundee all the time... "That's not a knife. THIS is a knife!" |

Weren't the LOTR movies shot back-to-back? I like watching them all three in a row, make it an all day event. I like watching all three Matrix movies and all six Star Wars movies in a row as well. When I watch a movie, it stays watched.

Best sequel - Desperado Still haven't decided if I like Once Upon A Time in Mexico, tho Depp was great. Interesting, Wiki knows all: Once Upon a Time in Mexico ... holds the box office distinction for being the most improved second sequel of all-time grossing 122% more than Desperado. Movies are rarely shot "in sequence". They are shot to a "shooting script". Not necessary in the sequence it occurs in the film. For practicality and less $$$$$$$. LOTR was not shot back to back. It was shot all @ once. Spiderman 2 & 3 shot @ the same time. Production on transformers 1 and 2 overlaped. |

The only sequel that I can think of that stands as film art: The Godfather II Don't ask me about III |

If it's going to be at Homecoming, make sure it's next to a bar so that those of us who can't be arsed to watch can have some entertainment. |

Godfather III was the first movie I ever walked out of. Sofia Coppola's acting was so embarassing to watch, it actually made me feel self conscious. Plus it was boring and I was on a first date that was going really, really well. Really well. I finally tried to rewatch it years later on a DVD boxed set. I walked out again... in my own living room this time. |

"He got old, & "Slightly Annoyed Max" wouldn't cut it." He was still pretty pissed when he got his last DUI. "Pissed-Off Max"... hell, I'd buy a ticket. |

Ug, someone mentioned Matrix... The 1st one kicked ass, the 2nd wasn't bad, the 3rd one SUCKED. What a lame ending to such a cool idea. I may open a can of worms here, but I thought all 3 Pirates of the Caribbean were great. The "making of" the 3rd one was amazing! ~SM |

The second Matrix was almost campy with the obviously overweight and out of shape Lawrence Fishburn lumbering around in the fighting sequences. Even CG couldn't fix that. |

"If you want a laff - put on Easy Rider." It starts out cool with Phil Spectre playing the drug dealer, and the initial scenes with the choppers, but then it just turns into a mess. I never liked that movie, even as a kid. After reviewing as a relic of the age and rewatching it recently, it still struck me as a huge directorial/acting/editing mess. It was interesting to watch the DVD with the directors commentary, though. Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper really were stoned and tripping in a few sequences and it was apparent (One of the women in the cemetery scene was the yet to be semi-famous Toni Basil from the "Oh, Mickey" song and video. She was in "Five Easy Pieces with Nicholson and Karen Black, too). "Easy Rider" would have been great if a director like Robert Altman made it, not Dennis Hopper in his stoned and out-of-control phase. |

This James Woods quote comes to mind when the possibility of watching Pirates 2 or 3 ever again comes up: "Not if you tied my tongue to your tailpipe and drove me eighty miles an hour naked across a field of broken glass! No!" |

I don't think anyone has said it. "Pulp Fiction" I liked "Easy Rider" when I saw it for the first time. I liked the first Matrix, the second one was okay and I can't sit through the third. I didn't think I'd like Pirates of the Carribean, but got dragged along. I thought they were fun movies. |
