Fresh off the truck! They look really *nice* when they don't have 2,000 racetrack demo miles on 'em, LOL. I like the new side covers on the clutch and engine. The clear lens turn signals look great on the mirrors. Extra heat shielding is very well disguised on the muffler / right foot area. Red rear spring looks great peeking out of the tail section. Very happy. They are real. Now I really wish I had the 12 large to get one of my own!! |

Mike. GRRRR. YOU have weather you can ride it in. WE have snow falling and freezing rain / winter boogersnot forecast for tonight. I actually drove the truck to work today instead of riding (even I'm smart enough not to argue with ice). <sigh> That aside, what do you think? I know you didn't get to go to class...your first thoughts? |

The first 1125R arrived at Bailey's H-D?Buell Wednesday (Dec 5) and I took a look once they un-crated it. I do like the LED turn signals. The side pods look just as large in person. It is a good looking bike, I wonder how long it will take me to recognize them on the street (as a Buell). I was surprised at how deep into the fairing they mounted the display. I think I would mod mine to relocate it on the triple tree. Uh, that is if I actually owned one! I can't wait to see them out this summer. BuellBoiler |

Mike...I won't post my feelings on your weather situation here on a "Family Board". However, I'm glad you like the bike. Given your personal stable, I'd be curious to hear your riding impressions once you get a chance to put some miles on... |

Since we couldn't do the PDI test ride yet (snow and ice) the proud owner has been nice enough to let us keep the bike for a couple days, until the roads clear, and put it on display on the floor. Here 'tis:

I think it is a blast on the end. They do look good from the front. My only complaints with the bike are the items that are almost directly from the XB and the pods. While I know it is all a matter of preference, but I think that many in the sportbike community will feel the same way. This bike is a large step in getting Buells out to the masses so that they can increase sales and distance themselves from the Mothership, but I probably won't put my money down for this version. They could change my mind if there is a version dropped later to address the 6 model year old tank, tail, wheels and per my own opinion the very distracting pods and exhaust. Just my personal opinion. Don't take it as flaming the bike because I do think it is a great step for Buell, but I'll wait for the revised edition. |

What size is that helmet? I'm guessing it's the black and orange one that was in your parts case.... Also, do you have any of the Nolan's I was looking at in all white / XL (I want to say it was the N102 or something)? The more I think about it, and the more I ride in the cold, the more I like the idea of that chin flap... |
