I need help with this install. I purchased a Carbon Fiber Undertray from Eastcarbon (China) on eBay and I cannot figure out how to install it. The taillight end is rather obvious but the other end (near the oil tank) has me confused. Their picture of the product shows it held inplace with two screws but when I lay the undertray on my bikes tail piece it is not wide enough to put a screw through and sink it into the aluminum tailpiece. I know, you don't have to say it! I should have just paid 3x's as much and gotten the one from American Sport Bike but I was too cheap. I have emailed Eastcarbon and asked them how they suggest I install it since their ad says "easy install", otherwise it's going back. If anyone can shed some light on my little problem I would appreciate it. Thx. |

I fabricated a nice bracket out of some scrap 18" aluminum and 2 short pieces of aluminum angle and it came out nice. Creats a nice big truck uunder the seat. The only mounting for the CF underseat on the Ebay piece you have is behind the tail light. When I get a chance, I'll post the pics and steps here. |

On the high dollar CF under tail there is a cross brace that bolts to the bar where the ECM is bolted to. There have been a few post of people adding a brace to the cheaper under tail in this area. Once braced it will stay up the way it is suppose to. |

I sent it back and purchased one from a local guy that had a never been used from American Sport Bike. I see the brace that was missing on my first one. It makes a world of difference. Luckily the company stepped up and refunded my money. |
