I have a friend who belongs to the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club, He has told me many a story of road trips where the average speed is 150MPH on Public roads. One of their members just hit you-tube and is now under investigation in AZ for taking his Lamborghini on a jont at 219MPH on the freeway in Mesa. Last week the guy that wrote this letter got a fist full of tickets (Speeding 50 MPH over the limit, reckless endangerment etc.) wrote this letter to it's members so they are all on the same page when the club gets investigated. I think it's quite funny. The video was on their website for weeks and they were all congratulating the guy under investigation. Then they pulled the thread and put out this letter to all it's members. This is their Idea of a closed course. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXxM9_ARnEw In light of recent events, we, as the governing body of the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club, have felt compelled to comment. By this time, just about everyone in the exotic car community has been informed about the video about the 219 mph Lamborghini on AZ freeways. There has also been subsequent speculation about the owner/driver of the vehicle as being SECC member Rob Simyar. Rob is not only a valued member of the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club, but he is also a good friend to many of the club's members. The Scottsdale Exotic Car Club does not condone the alleged actions that have been depicted on video, nor any illegal or dangerous activities conducted on open city streets and/or highways. We at the SECC believe in using our vehicles' high performance capabilities on closed, properly equipped racing facilities. The SECC's commitment to safe, high perfomance driving is evidenced by the recent Channel 12 news story on our Drivers' Education Event at PIR, as well as, our many other numerous track rentals and Drivers' Education Events. With all of that being said, the SECC still considers Rob a member in good standing, as well as, a friend, regardless of what he is being accused of by some. We will reserve judgement for the court system (if it comes to that) we believe that this is the least we can do as the US Constitution affords one of the right to presumption of innocence until proven guilty. Sincerely, Joseph Curry, President, SECC Luis Freguada, Vice President, SECC |

I guess this guy has a Porn site and used his car as a backdrop too... so maybe the members member has been out on you-tube. |

Probably lost his head. Although that might mean the member's member was dismembered, but I don't remember that either. |
