Sorry to hear about your knee, Dana! I know about knee pain all too well. AND, like Andrea said, at least YOU could get up and you have a great nurse to take care of you!!. I had to take a ride in a car with flashing lights  Here's some of the craziness going on here. Trying to get a picture of these two and Lindsey will not cooperate at all. I got up actually pretty quick but couldn't support my left leg at all. Now I'm doing it but I feel some weird stuff in my knee. I don't know if its healing or if its telling me something isn't right. Time will tell. Kids look great tell them to behave.... i'm friends with Santa. I clean his carpet every year.  | ||

Thanks everyone! (neat fireworks Dana!)It was a quiet b-day, but Fiery was here all weekend for Thanksgiving. She treated me well and we even went shopping for my b-day. And no motorcycle related items, but that was good, (clothes and good stuff). Didn't get the race taped today, I put a tape with the no record tab in  But the race is on tonite at 2am and I will have it recorded. | ||

Well riding season seems to be over. Got a lot done on the bike today. Rotated the engine down to remove the header. Seems to be a lot of wasted steps the the service book. Think I found a secret to weight loss. Just work on your bike! You have no time to eat and you go through a shit load of coffee. Still undecided on exactly what I want to do the the engine. I know a oil fitting is leaking. Brass one right next to the oil filter. That will have to be replaced. I need to find a place near by to get the new header ceramic coated. I was talking with Terry from Hal's. He told me to be mindful of the crank. That makes me a little nervous. Was thinking of going the 12 crank route, but I believe that is in the area of $3500  Karri would not be happy!! But it seems to be a waste not to dive into the engine a little. I know it wasn't sounding right when I hit the starter the last few races. A very metallic clunk. Let go of the button. Hit it again and it's fine. Any idea's? Jason? Wes? Later. | ||

Yo Rocket, hmmmmm thats a new one....hopefully its just the starter solenoid. Would have to hear it to tell for sure. The Hal's guys do awesome work, thats for sure. you might want to check into just buying a stock XB12 crank assembly. It really isn't as big of a deal as it sounds to swap cranks. There are advantages for sure to the race prep and lightening Hal's does, but a stock crank will get you 95% of the way there, and the new ones are frickin' bulletproof! you should drop it off at the secret WFO engineering compound...you never know what might happen. That goes for you too Nancy...you need to join the 10 second club! My 1125R came in yesterday, so it has been an early christmas for sure. Motor comes out this weekend...feel like a goober tearing up a perfectly good street bike, but Daytona is calling! I'd like to think Erik likes it that way... | ||

Yo Rocketsprink, 12 ECM - yes. I would recommend the race ECM. I run it with a stock race cal in a moderately modified motor with excellent results... Throttle body - Yes/no....you can run the 45mm XB9 throttle body no problem, but you will be down a few ponies and ft-lbs than with the 49mm XB12 throttle body. The rest of the fuel system is the same essentially. you would need the XB12 rubber boot/velocity stack too if you convert. You would want to get the XB12 header as well, although again the XB9 header will work fine and actually gain a little mid range (2ft-lbs), but you will lose a few ponies on top. I think i have a scuffed up one at the shop. I really like the XB12 over the 9, and even the 1170's. very easy/freindly to ride. Even with the xb9 header and TB, it will be a huge gain over the 9. | ||
