Welcome to Badweb. You can download ECMSpy for free, but you need to either buy a cable or make your own. American Sportbike sells the VDSTS software and cable if you want to go that route. Take a look around, it seems like every other thread is about the 2.

thanks, that's exactly what i was looking for -- my thinking is that our bikes are coming from the factory lean due to EPA regs.

I think an air-cooled engine should be run slightly rich for cooler running and longer life - I may be wrong here, but I think a lean engine, over time, is not a good thing.

just my 2 cents. I once had an engines instuctor in Tech school who's motto was "Lean is mean but Fat is where it's at." -he was an engine builder/track tuner for a Daytona 500 winning Race team
