Have a bike in the shop with engine light staying on-2007 xb9r with 1000 miles. Not showing trouble codes and did the ecm test. Showing ECM not the problem. Any suggestions |

Did you do anything different while running through the last tank of gas that might have triggered the ECL, like overfilling the gas tank? Was there another reason you took it to the dealer besides the ECL being on? What is the ECM test? |

look for rubbed wires to ground. especially around negative battery terminal. |

I've got the same problem. 2008 XB12X, just at 500 miles and the check engine light is on steady. I'll be running up to the dealer in about an hour to have them scan for a code. |

no I work for a dealer, just seeing if I can help out the tech. I know you guys here are a bunch of smart guys and might be able to save a phone call to tech service. |

Overheat, possibly a faulty sensor reading hot while not. |

My problem turned out to be a bad exhaust servo. Dealer order a new one, but I plugged in one taken off my 12R which has a Buell race can installed. Light no longer comes on. |
