Hey Court, Do you think there's any chance Buell will start selling the H&B hard bag kits for the other XBs? I know twistedthrottle sells them but pricing seems on the high side compared to what Buell offers for the Uly. That's with smaller/cheaper bags as well. I know it probably wouldn't be the most popular accessory but I had to ask. |

The uly bags arent inexpensive, it is the same provider, why would you expect them to be Significantly less? Plus they are a new item. really concerned about cost, then use their mounting brackets and get the caribou cases. I will post a pic when mine is done |

With 52% of Buells selling in Europe you would think hard luggage would be more available? |

Hepco&Becker are making saddlebag kits for other Buell models. Buell just isn't offering them as factory options. If you want to put 30 liter H&B Junior bags on a Lightning, for instance, the mounts are available. |

I'm hopeful they'll make those racks for the Lightning Long someday soon. |

Have you contacted a vendor? The guys I got them from said that the SS or TT brackets were available, and there was a distinct different part number with a different price. Leads me to believe your someday is now. |

Thanks, Brian. The Hepco Becker website is still as useless as I remember it. First, I select the English pages by clicking on the British flag, then I select the model search. I pick "Buell" from the drop down, then fill in "XB12Ss" in the box where it requests the model and I get an error message in German. I'll give the guys you sent me a call during the week. In the mean time, how about a photo of what the bike looks like WITHOUT the bags mounted? Later: Okay, I just scrolled back and I see you have a photo of the bike sans luggage already posted. Thanks! Cityslicker, I love your setup, but I have a question. Can you post a pic of the latching mechanism on the back of your Caribou bags? Is it the same as a normal Caribou bag latch system, or is it a Hepco/Becker system attached to a Pelican/Caribou case? I am just wondering this out of curiosity. Either way, it is an EXCELLENT and durable set up, and looks SUPERCOOL. |

you mean how the bags are mounted to the rails ? Its 3 fender washers, a lock washer, half inch 3.5 bolt and a fastener X 4 . They are Hard Mount bags. Its rather industrial, and a low teck answer to it. The bags are very structural and have saved the bike a couple of times.
