Thanks Greg for sharing! That was an awesome adventure. I'm amazed that this hasn't gotten more attention. Good to see the trip went well for the "bloke" and the Uly held up like a tank! |

>>>>I can use a trip like that.. I'm an advocate of folks doing that at least once in their life. It's so cool to wake up every morning knowing that all you have to do is ride as far as you can in a given day. I went for 31 consecutive days . . . . may do it again. You'd be surprise how many of these Uly trips take place. . . many by folks who seldom see the internet. I am working with two groups now and one of them is an unbelievable trip that is going to require some significant mods. Amazing stuff and some amazing stories. I enjoy traveling but the ones that involve robbery, kidnapping, buying way out of jail . . . well, I'll take a week in the western USA.

Ready to go, just need the time off. Damn housing market, as soon as the house sells, it is the all CityXSlicker world tour. |

I'm an advocate of folks doing that at least once in their life. It's so cool to wake up every morning knowing that all you have to do is ride as far as you can in a given day. I'm an advocate as well. I've put off "The Big One" for 2 years now so I'm determined to make the trek this summer, providing the boss will let me burn up a months worth of vacation all at once. Starting in New York, I only NEED to get as far west as Kansas to see a buddy who moved out there a few years back. However, I'd like to see the pacific ocean, rocky mountains, grand canyon, deal's gap, and all points in between. I've only ever been as far west as Michigan and Kentucky, so I'm looking forward to seeing lots of things I've never seen before. Current itinerary ranges from 7500 to 9000 miles, so we'll see where it ends up. |
